EduResearcher is a blog authored by Dr. Roxana Marachi, Professor of Education at San José State University. Dr. Marachi’s current research interests focus on research-to-practice gaps in the implementation of policies related to school safety, high-stakes testing, privatization, and the technologization of teaching and learning. She aims to strengthen systemic strategies for the prevention of data harms and to bridge research-to-practice gaps in the integration of emerging technologies in education. Marachi has served as education chair for the San José/Silicon Valley NAACP (2016-2021) and the CA/HI State NAACP (2019-2021), and is actively involved in local, state, and national efforts to strengthen and protect public education.
